Bryony Heart is an independent singer songwriter based on the Hampshire / Surrey border.
Influenced by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Ray LaMontagne and Lady Gaga, Heart’s music has evolved into an organic blend of powerful pop with subtle tones of acoustic guitar to reveal that human touch.
Being very dyslexic Heart struggled at school and often feeling alone she turned to music for comfort in her primary years. Heart began learning to play the violin but soon found singing was how she could really express her inner feelings and the violin was later replaced with a guitar. In her early teens, Heart began to share her emotions with paper, writing lyrics that reflected on her life experiences.
“Music has always been there for me, to share my grief, my happiness, my sadness, my guilt..... Music is my therapy. It is my sanctuary.”
A talent was spotted in her earlier years when Heart was selected to take part in the Artist Development Program with Future Music after her successful performances at the area and regional Open Mic UK Competitions.
Heart’s studio recorded debut single “Player” was aired on BBC Radio Introducing Solent in October 2019.
“A strong pop song with a really good vocal”
“Really impressed with the track”
Steph Newenhouse, BBC Radio Solent
Heart’s successive single is ready for release later this year and currently she is working on her debut EP which is due to be released in April/May 2022.
